About Us...
As a child, I was introduced to American Saddlebreds early. I was showing by the age of three, and earned my first Championship by the age of five. I learned from the best instructors money could buy. I then went on to show Morgans in my early teens and Paso Fino's on my late teens. By my early twenties I was manager of a large Tennessee Walker and Racking Horse show barn, and was instructing in Walking Seat Equitation.
I had been a part of 4-H as a youngster, training my own colt for show. Nothing was as thrilling to me as working with an untrained horse. All my life I had been given top trained performance horses to show, now I actually had a colt who I had worked hard and trained myself. I promised myself that I would come back and give to other 4-Her's what I had gotten as a kid.
When I finally got my own farm, my philosophy was to give lessons to all levels of riders, from all economic backgrounds, and on all breeds of horses. I had seen too many trainers who catered only to the rich, and left many very talented riders shut out, simply because they didn't have 'the right horse' or enough money.
So, I became a 4-H Leader. An all saddleseat and gaited club. I taught all my students and 4-Hers everything I knew about Saddleseat...including the tricks I had learned when I worked for the big name trainers.
My lesson program has now exceeded my expectations. I offer clinics, seminars, and individual instruction in my back yard and all over the country. My students say I've created a revolution in saddleseat. Somewhat like the Country Music group Big & Rich have done in country music. Except my students say it's "Saddleseat without prejudice." A revolution is coming, are you ready?
